REYKJAVIK TRIP

Cate, Johannes, Julia and I traveled down for the Villa Reykjavik art event. We went to openings at Kling + Bang and Kaffistofa. I also met up with friends Elizabeth, Kathleen, and Amy, all Americans living in Reykjavik. I was introduced to Elizabeth before coming here through a mutual friend Kat. Elizabeth and Amy are artists here on Fulbright scholarships. And small world, Amy is from Texas and is currently Hildur Bjarnadottir's assistant in the studio. Hildur is an internationally renowned textile artist that I know as well. I met Hildur at the Mint Museum in Charlotte (she is working on a commission for them).
