ICELAND: VIK

Vik at 11:30 pm:

Vik is absolutely beautiful and I think one of my favorite parts of the trip. With 22 hours of sun, and basically 2 hours of dusk, I stayed out much later and took in the beach before retiring to my modest yet cozy room in the hostel.

Vik in the morning:

In the morning I came back to the coast and sat for a while, sketching and listening to the ocean and the seagulls above that nest in the cliffs. Vik is breath-taking with its pristine black sands, yet the town is small and sleepy. Nature is largely unspoiled and undeveloped in Iceland.
