ICELAND: REYKJAVIK
View from my hotel of the square, looking down Austerstraeti, one of the first streets to be established in Iceland. It is now referred to as the Old Town and has great shops and restaurants. Parliament is just around the corner, as well as the harbor.
It was so nice to wander the streets in Reykjavik. Iceland has a population under 305,000 and 60% of the population lives in Reykjavik. So basically everyone knows everyone. It is clean, well-designed, and safe; people do not even lock their bikes!

Anyone know what Plifun means?

Seaegriffin Restaurant, delicious lobster soup, owned by a local fisherman
Loved the street art:
The Church of Hallgrimur was under construction, pretty interesting view anyway!
This is what it normally looks like
Caught a fantastic Erro exhibition at the Reykjavik Art Museum
Painters on Frakkastigur street--I liked this street; found great Icelandic designed clothes and interesting shops. It lead me to the bay where I ate a late breakfast next the famous sculpture by Jon Gunnar Arnason (see image at the bottom of the post).
