So my camera battery ran down unfortunately, but I managed to document a little part of Kelly's birthday party:

Rosemary, Rhonda, and I went to a Carolina Rollergirls Derby bout in Raleigh. They had 3 teams: The Tai Chi-Tahs, the Debutante Brawlers, and the Trauma Queens. Each team played each other, so there were 3 bouts. It was SO MUCH FUN! Rosemary and I have decided we are joining the now forming Charlotte Roller Girls (see my link). We just bought our pads, mouth guard and helmet!

Some Debutant Brawlers post bout--I love their names: Charla Maim and Eva Lye!

Downtown Greensboro on a sunny Sunday afternoon!
I went to hear Lama Rinpoche talk about Buddhism with my friends Jason and Elizabeth. It was very interesting and I walked away with a lot of things to think about further.

I LOVE MIAMI!
Ruth, Paul, Laura and I headed down to catch Art Miami and take in all the wonderful art, food, and culture and most importantly....to relax! Experiencing summer weather in the middle of winter was fantastic not to mention escaping from daily life to a place that felt like another country!

An iguana greeted us as we cabbed from the airport to South Beach!
Hotel Chelsea--where we stayed the first two days

Ruth and Paul! My wonderful bosses!

Charles McMurray--our friend who was so kind to let us stay with him in his condo! We also had a ton of fun hanging out with Charles--such a pleasant person!

Laura and I soaking in the sun! The water was warm enough to swim in! Also, we were serenaded by a cheesy guy with a guitar and a laptop on the beach--he actually recorded and burned us a cd of the song on the spot! Ah yeh!
